Healthy Paws

Summary

  1. Type of Plan: Accident and Illness..  
  2. Annual Limits: No annual limit. 
  3. Reimbursements: 50%-90% of covered vet bills; options vary based on pet age & breed.  
  4. Deductibles: Annual deductible of $100 to $1,000.  
  5. Eligibility: Clinical exam is required prior to enrollment. (Does not enroll pets older than 14 years old. No new enrollment for pets older than four in New York state). 

Coverages: 

  • Hereditary & Congenital Conditions covered (Dogs 6 years or older are not eligible for hip dysplasia coverage).  
  • Chronic conditions covered.  Dental issues not covered. 
  • Diseases preventable by vaccines or preventive medication are not covered. 
  • Sick visit exam fees not covered.  
  • Diagnostics, including Radiology & Lab Tests covered.  
  • Surgery, Emergency Services & Hospitalization covered.  
  • Specialized Care covered.

Waiting Period: 

  • Illnesses: 15 days Accidents: 15 days Hip Dysplasia: 12 months hip dysplasia. Not covered if pet is six years of age or older at the time of enrollment. 
  • Wellness: 0 days Concern: A pet less than six (6) years of age on the date of enrollment must have undergone a complete clinical examination. The exam must have taken place either in the twelve (12) months prior to the pet policy effective date, or within fifteen (15) days following the pet policy effective date. Hip Dysplasia: is not covered if pet is six years of age or older at the time of enrollment

  3. Reimbursement: 70%, 80% or 90% of covered vet bills. 
  4. Deductibles: Annual Deductible with various pricing options. 
  5. Eligibility: Pets are eligible regardless of Health, however upper age restriction based on breed and average life expectancy. Full medical exam from the past 12 months for pets older than one year.

  • Hereditary & Congenital Conditions covered. (Exclusions for pre-existing bilateral conditions). 
  • Chronic Conditions covered. 
  • Dental Issues not covered.
